Draganić is located between Jastrebarsko and Karlovac. Besides its natural attractions, Draganić has a rich cultural and historic heritage. The history of Draganić begins in 13th century during the Croatian – Hungarian empire.
Because of its courage and achievements in the war against Mongols Draganić obtained status of „noble and free municipality“. Because of this fact residents of Draganić have lived during following centuries free form feudal system. One of the main associations that nurture Draganić heritage is Folklore association St. George, founded in 1934.
During the last 15 years Draganić economy is being developed at an accelerated pace and new residents are moving in. Back in 19th century well known Croatian historian wrote about Draganić: „It is possible that in our county there is no place so suitable for human residence, as is the one in Draganić, where the nature itself has offered every convenience to human living“.
The area that gravitates to Jastrebarsko is geographically very diverse. It is spread from Slovenian border, along which is located Žumberak mountain, through hills of Sveta Jana, Plešivica and Vivodina, up till Kupa river.
Jastrebarsko is not only in the center of this territory geographically speaking, but also it is the cultural and economic center. During the past two decades Jastrebarsko has been developing rapidly and becomes very suitable for living of people who want to live in an urban environment near Zagreb.
Jastrebarsko is also interesting if looking at industrial and economic aspect. At the moment a new industrial zone is being developed. The zone has an excellent location, near the Zagreb – Karlovac highway and only fifteen minutes from Zagreb.

The territory of Pisarovina municipality occupies southern part of Zagreb county and by its configuration it is plain and pertains to Kupa valley. Pisarovina is divided from Zagreb by Vukomeričke gorice, a nice low hill slopes.
